AJEMIAN Gevorg was born on February 18, in 1932 in the city of Manbij (Syria). An Armenian writer. He graduated from the American University of Beirut in 1958. The main theme of Ajemian’s works is the struggle for preservation of the national identity in Diaspora. The collections of short stories “Impossible Story” (1956), "After days" (1958), “Streets of Non-secure” (1964), “I must torture the words” (1967), “Clowns and other actors” (1968), “Eternal way” (1975),  “The Descendants of Milky Way” (1983) and the novel "Symphony in Discord" (1962, in English) were published. His theoretical and literary-critical analyses were summed up in the collection "Theoretical and critical experiments" (1962-82).
