AYVAZYAN Aghasi was born on September 7, 1925 in Akhaltsikhe. Armenian writer, screenwriter, film director, Honored Art Worker of the ASSR (1982). He studied at the Academy of Arts of Tbilisi (1942), at the Faculty of Philology of Tbilisi State University, at Yerevan State Institute of Fine Arts and Theatre and at the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture (1945-48). 1965-73 editor of the part of prose “Orakan Tert”, 1973-81 chief editor of “Ekran” journal and “Hayutyun” newspaper 1992-97. Ordinary and unusual is often combined in the works of A. Ayvazyan representing the inner controversial world of the modern man: “Journey Around One’s Self”, 1963, “The Father of the Family”, 1968, “Glory Count”, 1973, “The Adventures of Signor Martiros” 1977, “The Triangle”, 1983, “Diplipito”, 1985, “Objective-18”, 1986, “The Month of Mulberry”, 1989, “Something To Do on Earth”, 1993, “Problem”, 1995, “Theatre”, 1999 (plays), "Alibi”, 2000, “The Kids”, 2001, “Poem about building and construction”, 2002). Ayvazyan shoot the films “Lyric Procession”, (1982), “Lit torch” (International Federation of Film press Award, 1987), "Secret Advisor" (1988). The films were shot on his scripts (“The Father”, 1972, “Three of us”, 1989, “The Voice of Silence”, 1991).
