KHECHOYAN Levon was born on December 8, in 1956 in the village of Baralet (in the region of Akhalkalak, Georgia). An Armenian writer. Graduated from Leninakan Pedagogical Institute in 1983. In 1986-88 he worked at “Hrazdan” newspaper. In 1989-94 Khechoyan participated in Karabakh liberation war in the volunteer detachment named “Sasun”. His short stories are about war and peace, life and death, love and hate. (collections “Trees of Incense” , 1991, “Black Book, Heavy Bug”, 1999, “The guardian angel”, 2002, “On June 5 and 6”, 2002). Khechoyan was the member of the International Academy of Art (Yerevan) (2005).

L. Khechoyan died  on January 8, 2014.
